Garden Rooms with a Bathroom in Swindon
Bespoke insulated garden rooms, offices & studios. Free surveys, fixed written quotes, tidy workmanship.
Swindon Garden Rooms fits bathrooms, WCs and shower rooms into garden buildings across Swindon. A toilet transforms how a garden room gets used — guests can stay in it, workdays don't route through the kitchen, gym sessions end in a shower rather than a dash across wet grass.
The build question is always drainage, and it's the first thing we assess at the design visit: where your foul drain runs, what levels allow, and which connection route your garden supports.

The three drainage routes
Gravity connection
Where the garden falls toward an accessible foul drain or manhole — the gold standard: silent, maintenance-free, handles anything.
Pumped connection
A macerator or small pump station lifts waste to the drain where gravity won't — reliable modern kit, with honest advice about occasional maintenance.
Water supply & waste
A trench to the house carries water, waste and power together — dug once, ducted properly, invisible afterwards.
What a bathroom adds to the build
As a rule of thumb, adding a WC and basin to a garden room adds £4,500–£7,000; a full shower room £6,500–£10,000 including drainage works, on top of the base building cost. Longer drain runs and pumped solutions sit at the top of those ranges.
Building regulations apply to drainage and to bathrooms in buildings people sleep in — that's normal, not alarming, and we handle the notifications as part of the job. Everything is fitted to the same standard as a house bathroom: proper tanking, extraction and heating, because an unheated shower room in February teaches harsh lessons.
Garden annexes
Full self-contained living — bathroom, kitchenette and sleeping space.
Garden gyms
The most popular bathroom pairing: train, shower, back to the house.
